New Country Day Camp is hiring staff members who are energetic, responsible role models with an interest in working with children outdoors. Staff commit to the entire summer, attend all orientation days in June, participate in some Sunday training sessions and 2 to 3 after-camp staff meetings, and work Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with shorter hours on Friday. Staff receive lunch each day, payment every two weeks by paper check or direct deposit, a free 14th Street Y gym membership for the summer, professional and personal development opportunities, and support with references, recommendation letters, job searches and placement. Camp is located in Staten Island, with transportation provided by school buses from various stops in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn.
