Lead a 5 to 13 week course in at least one non-academic enrichment skill, such as American Sign Language, Fun or Weird Science, Gardening, Martial Arts, Music Production or DJing, Performing Arts, Photography or Videography. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be available for the assigned schedule, commit to assigned shifts without conflict, and have a passion for Newark or Paterson youth ages 5 to 14. Requirements include strong instruction, facilitation and group management skills, a clear background check and child abuse records, English speaking proficiency, and the ability to work with children in large group instructional, coaching or camp settings. Preferred qualifications include one or more years of formal experience working with youth ages 5 to 14 and Spanish speaking proficiency.
