Blood donation service for eligible dogs and cats. Donor pets receive a full health check, pre-donation blood screening, light sedation, IV fluids and monitoring during recovery. The donation itself typically takes 5 to 15 minutes, while pets usually spend a few hours at the hospital. After donation, pets receive snacks and are monitored before discharge. Donors should rest at home after the donation and can usually return to normal activities the next day. Eligible dogs must be 1 to 8 years old, weigh more than 25 kg and meet the stated health, vaccination and medication criteria. Eligible cats must be 1 to 8 years old, weigh more than 4 kg and meet the stated health, vaccination and medication criteria.
