An 8 week mixed-level class for beginners and continuing students. Students may create a copper and brass pendant or pin using sweat soldering, a sterling silver ring, a stone setting project, and an additional personal project if time allows. Instruction includes plate metal rolling, three-dimensional metal forming, soldering, use of the jeweler's saw and metal files, flex shaft orientation, and finishing techniques including machine polishing, metal pickle, and sonic cleaner use. No prior metalworking or art experience is required. The price includes a $50 materials fee.
