CERES is seeking an experienced hospitality leader to create a warm and welcoming service that celebrates local organic food. The Assistant Manager supervises front of house activities and staff, including coffee and beverage service, customer service, ordering, food delivery and cleaning. The role supports stock control, ordering, invoicing, catering, staff rostering, financial operations, regulatory compliance and the smooth daily running of the café. Applicants need proven hospitality and customer service experience, a commitment to local, seasonal and organic foods, at least three years of industry management experience in a similar fast-paced restaurant environment, financial management skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work weekends. Current Responsible Service of Alcohol and Food Safety qualifications are required. Event management experience including functions and catering is desirable.
