Responsible for originating and setting the overall strategy of transactions, including negotiations, client interaction, and management of transaction documentation. Directors contribute to firm strategy through staff recruitment and development, ensure high-quality investment banking execution, originate client relationships, mentor staff, prepare and execute final client presentation work, and manage client liaison including financing or merger transaction negotiations. The role requires established private equity and venture capital relationships, the ability to originate capital raising and M&A transactions, strong quantitative, analytical, writing, verbal communication, problem-solving and strategic skills, attention to detail, multitasking, workload prioritization, flexibility for extensive work hours and travel when needed, and a deadline-oriented team approach.
