Join the Senior Management Team and support the Manager and Deputy Manager in the management and development of the service for people with learning disabilities. The role includes leading support workers and ancillary staff, managing shifts, providing personal care and other daily support, developing and reviewing individual support plans, monitoring documentation, supporting medication procedures, promoting choice and participation, liaising with families and external agencies, handling safeguarding issues, supporting CQC and other inspections, and assisting with staff management, recruitment, induction and supervision. The essential criteria include a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or willingness to study towards it, at least two years of social care experience, experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks, strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills, and the ability to lead a team. Applicants must be able to undertake personal care and physical mobility support, work shifts, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins and emergency cover, accompany people on holidays including overseas, and be flexible regarding working hours and on-call arrangements. Driving is desirable.
