The Advisor, reporting to the Director of Transport, Trade and Sustainable Development, assists with the design, development, implementation and management of technical assistance projects in Transport, Logistics and Sustainable Development. Duties include supporting policies, programmes and projects, preparing concept papers and technical reports, managing project scope, budgets, resources, risks and quality, conducting research and analysing regional developments, preparing data and statistical information, supporting communications content, and representing the Association of Caribbean States at designated meetings and events. Applicants require a postgraduate degree in Transport, Economics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a relevant combination of fields, at least five years of progressive regional or international transport experience, knowledge of transport principles, laws and applicable international conventions, and experience managing projects funded by international cooperation agencies. Excellent English and either Spanish or French communication skills are required. The appointment is for three years, with an option of renewal for two years. The remuneration package includes US$3,830.20 monthly tax-exempt remuneration, travel, repatriation and shipping allowances, group health insurance, a 14% gratuity payment and 25 working days of annual paid vacation.
