Qualifications include an associate degree in Early Childhood Education, or a Child Development Associate Certificate and current college enrollment with an approved study plan and at least 9 credits in Early Childhood Education, or a high school diploma and current college enrollment with a Department of Health approved study plan and at least 9 credits in Early Childhood Education. Candidates must have one year of classroom experience in a childcare program setting and be at least 21 years old. Responsibilities include creating developmentally appropriate curricula, designing and managing the classroom environment, collaborating with teacher assistants and family workers, building relationships with children and families, observing children for signs of illness, injury, emotional disturbance, learning or speech problems and other special needs, completing required documentation, and maintaining accurate student data records. COVID vaccination is required. Salary is based on educational qualifications.
