Surgery to repair and tighten damaged shoulder structures using an arthroscope, small anchors and sutures to restore joint stability and help prevent further dislocation. Usually performed under general anaesthetic combined with local anaesthetic. The operation takes about 60 minutes. Post-operative care includes recovery monitoring, possible physiotherapy advice, a shoulder sling for two to three weeks and a follow-up appointment about two weeks after surgery.
