Keyhole shoulder surgery for shoulder impingement. The procedure removes the inflamed bursa and shaves the bone on the underside of the acromion to create more space for the tendons. It may also include removal of the acromioclavicular joint or calcification within the tendons. Physiotherapy and a steroid injection are usually attempted first.
