An 8 week hands-on class for beginning and intermediate students covering lost wax casting for jewelry making. Students will create at least 2 wax projects and cast them into metal using a centrifugal force casting machine. Techniques include wax tooling with gravers, hot and cold wax mold making, investing plaster molds for burnout, kiln burnout, melting metal with an oxy-acetylene torch, and polishing machine finish work. Materials fees are not included and are paid as used for casting. Availability for all class dates and times, and review of the refund policy, are required before purchase.
