Local corticosteroid injection delivered using ultrasound guidance to target areas of pain and inflammation. The clinician performs a clinical examination and ultrasound scan, selects the appropriate steroid and dose, and injects into the affected joint or soft tissue. Local anaesthetic is used for most injections.
