A less invasive mitral valve repair procedure performed through a small incision in the groin. MitraClip sutures the anterior and posterior mitral valve leaflets to increase their coaptation and reduce leakage. Used for selected patients with severe degenerative mitral regurgitation who are at high risk for conventional heart surgery. Advanced imaging techniques are used to assess candidacy and monitor progress after implantation.
