Non-clinical care and practical support for up to three months for people aged 15 years and over who have attempted suicide or experienced a suicidal crisis. Support is personalised and can include help to build a personal safety plan, referrals to community-based services such as financial or relationship counselling, support accessing clinical care during elevated periods of risk, motivational support, and help building connections in the community. Support can be provided face-to-face or over the phone. Referrals are made through participating hospitals' The Way Back NSW Project Officers or treating clinicians.
