A do-it-yourself whitening procedure using lower-concentration bleaching gel and customised trays for the upper and lower teeth. The dentist makes moulds of the teeth to create trays that fit the individual mouth, and provides a few tubes of bleaching gel. The trays should be worn for at least 1 hour, or overnight if comfortable. Most people achieve their desired result within 1-2 weeks of home bleaching.
