Includes discussion of symptom patterns, infection frequency, toileting history, bowel habits, fluid intake and family history, along with a gentle physical examination. Further urine tests, blood tests or imaging may be discussed when clinically indicated. Management may include lifestyle and behavioural advice, healthy toileting habits, constipation management, medication where appropriate, monitoring and specialist referral. Suitable for concerns including painful urination, recurrent urinary tract infections, bedwetting, daytime wetting, urinary frequency or urgency, abdominal or back pain, visible blood in the urine, swelling, poor growth or unexplained fatigue.
