Details.
Includes an examination of your child's teeth, gums, jaw, and bite, deep cleaning if tartar, tooth decay, or plaque buildup is present, polishing with a motorized brush and toothpaste, and a quick fluoride treatment when appropriate. Children should avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes after a fluoride treatment. The visit also includes guidance on proper brushing and flossing. Recommended at least twice a year, every six months, to help prevent hardened plaque, gum disease, cavities, and other oral health problems.
