Details.
Also known as Trans-PRK, this laser eye surgery disturbs or removes less of the cornea and may suit patients with thinner corneas, higher prescriptions or certain corneal abnormalities. It may also be suitable for people involved in full contact sports or serving in the police or army because there is no corneal flap. Treatment takes a few minutes for both eyes, visual recovery is slower than with Femto-LASIK, and work can normally resume after around one week or longer.
