Cataract surgery using a conventional monofocal intraocular lens. The lens provides excellent image quality with a limited range of focus. Blended monovision may be used to provide one eye with distance focus and the other with arm's-length focus. Reading glasses may still be useful for prolonged reading or very fine print.
