Open studio time for developing personal mosaic projects, continuing work in progress, or starting something new. Includes consultation as needed for design, material selection, and fabrication strategies, plus access to a shared library of mosaic materials, tools, and adhesives. Topics and techniques include color theory, rhythm, advanced piecing strategies, adhesive backing, tile tape, shattered ceramics, Italian smalti, natural stone, stained glass, exterior and architectural mosaics, decorative tiles, stepping stones, three-dimensional design, found objects, text, and crafted tesserae. Prerequisite: Beginning Mosaics or permission of the instructor. Materials fee depends on the project.
