Details.
MRI creates images of organs and body structures using magnetic fields and radio waves to assist with medical evaluation. The examination includes multiple scans, may involve a contrast agent, and usually takes between 30 and 90 minutes. Patients should inform the medical team about metallic prostheses, implants, electronic devices or pregnancy. Unless otherwise instructed, patients may eat before the test and continue usual medications. Jewellery, watches and other accessories must be removed before the examination.
