Details.
Continuous ECG recording taken over a 24 hour period. Assists your doctor in comparing recorded data with symptoms such as dizziness and palpitations. The monitor is fitted with five electrode patches applied to the chest and is carried in a holder around the neck or waist. Continue regular daily activities, but do not shower while fitted with the monitor. Note the time and details of any symptoms so your doctor can correlate them with the recording. The initial appointment to apply the monitor takes approximately 30 minutes, followed by a return appointment 24 hours later for removal, which takes approximately 10 minutes. Loose fitting clothes may be more comfortable.
