Details.
Structured, affirming, and non-gatekeeping assessment process for clinical letters supporting gender-affirming surgery, hormone-related care, name or gender marker changes, insurance requirements, school or institutional documentation, or other gender-affirming care needs. The process may include a clinical intake, biopsychosocial assessment, review of gender history and care goals, assessment of readiness and informed consent, review of relevant mental health and psychosocial factors, coordination with other professionals when appropriate, and preparation of an accurate letter responsive to the requesting entity. Existing therapy clients may complete the process within ongoing care, while new or letter-only clients generally need at least three appointments before a letter can be completed.
