A comprehensive hearing assessment for returning patients aged 3 to 17. Includes a discussion of the child's hearing and general health history, ear imaging, middle ear assessment using tympanometry, an automated inner ear hearing check using DPOAEs, conditioned play audiometry for children aged 3 to 6 or pure-tone audiometry for older children, speech understanding assessment where appropriate, results discussion and a report sent to the referring doctor and parent or guardian. A doctor referral is not required to book, but is needed for a Medicare rebate. Appointments can take up to 45 minutes.
