Training for support workers completing specialised tasks and functions in aged care services across residential, home and community-based environments. Delivery includes classroom training, online training and work-based training, with self-directed learning included in all programs. Students have up to 24 months to complete the qualification and must complete at least 120 hours of direct support work at a care facility. Entry requirements include willingness to obtain required police, working with children and NDIS Workers Screening checks, plus access to a computer, stable internet, microphone and camera for online programs. LLN testing and a Unique Student Identifier are also required.
