Details.
A single Arthrosamid injectable hydrogel implant treatment for symptomatic adult patients with knee osteoarthritis. The one-step outpatient procedure is performed under local anaesthesia by a qualified physician familiar with joint injections. Antibiotics should be given ahead of treatment, the knee is cleaned, Arthrosamid is injected into the knee's synovial cavity, and a plaster is placed over the injection site. Treatment is intended to reduce knee pain and stiffness and improve knee function. It is performed the same day and may sometimes use ultrasound guidance. Treatment may not be suitable for everyone, and a doctor should advise on suitability.
