Dominick L. DiCarlo U.S. Court of International Trade Lecture Series

Each year, the Center for International Law hosts a judge of the U.S. Court of International Trade or the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to lecture on a topic addressing the role of the federal courts in shaping and litigating customs and trade law disputes. The series honors Dominick L. DiCarlo, a former Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of International Trade, and its first formal lecture was held in 2003.

Folsom Lecture on International Business & Trade Law Series

Each year, Professor Folsom or another noted academic or practitioner lectures on an aspect of international business and trade law. Initiated in 2002, the lecture series has covered topics including free trade, trade and national security, and WTO regulation of bilateral trade agreements.

Litigation Skills Effective Advocacy under Fair Housing Laws

This two and a half day workshop helps attorneys develop and hone the skills necessary to proceed in contested hearings or trials. Participants receive a case study, are assigned to represent a client, and prepare and present a mock fair housing trial. Participants earn CLE credit, including one hour of ethics credit.

The annual Fair Housing Conference brings together practitioners and scholars who work in fair housing to focus on solutions. Past discussions have examined residential segregation, lending and appraisal practices, accessible housing, homelessness and under-housing, sexual harassment and domestic violence, and challenges faced by new immigrants.
