Bee Happy in the Garten

The Kochschule Neun community garden opens during the blooming season for hands-on activities. Participants discover urban bees, grow vegetables, help plan and care for raised beds, accompany herbs and vegetables through the season, and turn the harvest into small snacks and dishes. Neighbours are also welcome at seasonal celebrations. The project is aimed at older people and is currently in its development phase. Interested people can contact bildung@markthalleneun.de.

Every first Monday of the month, join Kian and Waldemar from the Ding Dong Ping Pong Club for an evening of board games, card games and table tennis at Markthalle Neun. Bring your favourite games or try something new. Snacks and drinks can be brought along or purchased at the venue. Everyone is welcome. Admission is free.

Eröffnung

Eröffnung der Fotoausstellung „Arbeitsort: Markthalle“ von Carla Ulrich in Zusammenarbeit mit der Markthalle Neun. Bei gemeinsamen Rundgängen werden die Bilder zwischen den Ständen und Gängen entdeckt, begleitet von einem Getränk und kleinen Häppchen. Anmeldung erforderlich.

Lange Tafel

Iftar Fastenbrechen

Gemeinsames Fastenbrechen im Ramadan mit einem feierlichen Bühnenprogramm aus Musik, Gebeten und Ansprachen. Nach Sonnenuntergang wird das Fasten traditionell mit Datteln und Wasser gebrochen, anschließend werden warme Speisen, frisch gebackenes Brot und süße Köstlichkeiten serviert. Alle sind eingeladen, Anmeldungen sind erforderlich.

Marie & the Brie

Once a month, Marie Neusser and the non-profit Kochschule Neun invite guests to explore cheese and other fermentation products in an approachable and friendly setting. Suitable for cheese lovers, people who work with cheese, and anyone interested in a nerdy, delicious evening. Entry is donation-based, with a recommended donation of 15 to 20 EUR to the non-profit Kochschule Neun. Registration is available via Meetup or email.

Kinderflohmarkt

Twice a year, children can sell and exchange old items and handmade goods for free at the market hall. The market is intended for children who can count to 100, except adults. Visitors can bring books, sports equipment, roller skates, shells, Lego figures and other items to exchange or sell. Food and treats for adults and children are also available. Adults selling children's clothes is explicitly not the focus of this flea market. Registration is possible six weeks before the event.

The topic is always cheese, but always different, ranging from the mountains to the valley and from far away to nearby places, depending on Ursula's latest research trips.
