Free legal consultation for criminal orders

Free legal consultation is available only to people who have received a criminal order. General criminal law advice and other criminal law matters are excluded. Consultations take place in person with experienced criminal defense lawyers supported by students. No appointment is required, no client relationship is created, and relevant documents should be brought to the appointment. Consultations are currently conducted exclusively in German. The service is available every Monday and Thursday from 15:00 to 18:00 at Köpenicker Straße 175, 10997 Berlin.

An appointment is not required. Consultation is available only if you have received a criminal order. General criminal law advice and other criminal matters are excluded. The consultation is currently conducted exclusively in German. Bring all relevant documents and, if translation is needed, a translator or accompanying person who can assist with translation.

Legal Advice Consultation

Free legal advice for people who have received a criminal penalty order and want information about their rights. Volunteer lawyers provide advice, supported by students from the FU Berlin Law Clinic. The consultation is offered at the advice centre. Please bring the criminal penalty order, the yellow envelope and, if possible, documents concerning your income. Advice can cover objections, instalment payments, community service instead of punishment, avoiding substitute imprisonment and related procedures.
