Cheese Fondue on the Ferry

The fondue season starts in November and ends at the end of February. Minimum six people, maximum 10 people. The ferryman prepares a cheese fondue, and the group stirs and seasons the cheese to taste. See the drinks menu PDF for the price list.

Weddings, Baptisms and Urn Burials

Weddings, baptisms and urn burials are possible outside regular operating hours for a flat fee of CHF 150. Urn burials are possible all year, but from May to September they are available exclusively in the morning. From October to April, evening appointments are also possible.

Ferry Rental

The ferry can generally be rented outside official operating hours on any day of the week for aperitifs, fondues, wedding blessings, baptisms and urn burials. In June, July and August, closed private events are not possible in the evenings. Rental costs are CHF 150 for the first hour and CHF 100 for each additional hour. Rental prices exclude consumption. Reservations are available for up to 16 people, with a maximum of 12 people in the ferry's interior.

Group Fare

For school classes, childcare centres and daycare centres, children under 12 pay CHF 0.80 per crossing, while children aged 12 and over and accompanying persons pay CHF 1.60 per crossing. This fare also applies to wheelchair users with an accompanying person.

20-Trip Pass

Passes for 20 crossings cost CHF 36 on the ferries and CHF 38 at Fähri-Verein and StadtKonzeptBasel sales points. All prices are in CHF and subject to change.

Summer timetable

The ferry operates daily during daylight saving time from 11:00 to 19:00. In good weather, service may continue until sunset. Opening status is displayed on signs at both landings.

From the start to the end of winter time, the ferry operates Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 16:00, weather permitting and only in sunny weather.
