Learn CPR and how to use an Automatic External Defibrillator

Free 90-minute workshop delivered by paramedics from Ambulance Victoria. The practical session covers recognising a health emergency, calling 000, performing CPR and using an AED. The 2026 session dates are Tuesday 21 July, Tuesday 4 August, Tuesday 29 September and Tuesday 24 November, from 9.30 am to 11 am, at Middle Park Community Hall, 254-256 Richardson St, Middle Park 3206. Registration is required.

Food sessions for babies and toddlers

Free information sessions focusing on introducing solid food to babies and toddlers. A Maternal and Child Health nurse answers questions, offers food suggestions and provides support with your child's food journey. Sessions run on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 9.30 am to 10.30 am at Middle Park Community Hall, 254-256 Richardson St, Middle Park 3206. Bookings are essential.

Breastfeeding Support Clinic

Free 45-minute face-to-face appointments with a qualified lactation consultant. Available every Tuesday all day at Bubup Womindjeka MCH Centre, 85 Liardet St, Port Melbourne. Bookings are essential and can be organised through your Maternal and Child Health nurse or the MCH Administration Team. Please bring your child infant health record, any breastfeeding aids, a burping cloth and wrap, and a bottle of water for the parent.

For first-time parents invited by their Maternal and Child Health nurse. Sessions cover topics to support parents and babies, provide an opportunity to share experiences, make friends and develop a support network. Face-to-face sessions are held once a week at an MCH centre for six weeks.
