Community Dining Program

A nutritious, well-balanced, Japanese-style hot lunch is provided five days a week in a communal-table setting. Meals are available Monday through Friday, closed on U.S. federal holidays, and are provided on a first come, first served basis. A voluntary contribution per meal is appreciated, with the amount set by San Francisco's Department of Disability and Aging Services guidelines and subject to change. Participation requires completion of the San Francisco citywide Intake Assessment and a nutrition assessment with Kimochi staff. Reservations for senior groups are accepted, and transportation is available for seniors unable to drive or use public transportation.

Meals are served on a first come, first served basis, with reservations available for senior groups. Walk-ins are available until seats are filled or closing time. The program is closed on U.S. federal holidays. Regular nutrition education presentations and information are also provided. A voluntary contribution per meal is appreciated.

Seated lunch service is available by reservation. Walk-ins are limited. Lunch includes rice and milk, except noodle meals, which do not include rice. Service is available to the community Monday through Friday.
