Emma Rice adapts and directs Alfred Hitchcock's 1959 classic in a riotously funny high-speed theatrical ride about mistaken identity. The production runs approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes including one 15-minute intermission. It features loud sound effects, gunshot effects on and offstage, bright and flashing strobe lights, smoking, and theatrical haze effects.

Walking Tour: Global Security in Hitchcock's San Francisco

Explore the Cold War paranoia, espionage, founding of the United Nations, McCarthyism, and San Francisco locations seen through Alfred Hitchcock's camera lens. The 90-minute walking tour is conducted by Shaping San Francisco historians, includes a moderate uphill walk and a slightly steeper downhill portion, begins at the War Memorial Opera House, and ends at the Toni Rembe Theater. Lunch is not provided, followed by a performance of North by Northwest.
