Opening an HSBC account overseas is completely free if you already have an HSBC Premier account in Vietnam. Maintaining a balance in the overseas account depends on the country selected as the primary Premier country and that country's HSBC requirements. Examples stated in the webinar include minimum deposits of USD 200,000 in Singapore, USD 1,000,000 in Hong Kong, USD 75,000 in the United States, and GBP 75,000 in the United Kingdom. If Vietnam is selected as the primary Premier account, the minimum balance is VND 1 billion, approximately USD 45,000. Premier benefits are global regardless of the country selected.
