In certain situations when you downgrade or cancel a trip, you can receive some or all of your money back in the form of an eVoucher. eVouchers can be redeemed on Amtrak.com, through the Amtrak app, at an Amtrak ticket office, or by phone. One or more eVouchers containing the same name can be used toward a reservation when the eVoucher name matches the full name of one of the travelers. eVouchers are non-transferable, may expire one year after issuance of the original ticket, and unused balances remain on the original eVoucher when redeemed for future travel. Depending on the original ticket's fare rules, funds may be refundable, non-refundable, or a combination of both.
