Heitman is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join its North American private equity team and manage a diverse self-storage real estate portfolio within clients' portfolios. Responsibilities include developing and executing asset management strategies, forecasting income and expenses, overseeing capital budgets and value creation initiatives, evaluating performance, using data analytics, monitoring property management teams and joint venture partners, leading financial analysis and modeling, supporting acquisitions and financings, managing dispositions, conducting property inspections, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees. Qualifications include a minimum of 10 years of relevant real estate investment experience, including 5 years of asset management experience, with a preference for self-storage experience. Candidates should have experience with asset management strategies, third-party property management and joint venture oversight, market analysis, budgets and financial reporting, valuation and appraisal, advanced financial modeling, due diligence, legal documentation, and team leadership. The position is based in Heitman's Chicago office, operates in a hybrid environment, and requires moderate to extensive travel. The expected annual base salary range is $160,000 to $190,000, and the role is bonus eligible.
