Heitman is seeking a seasoned Asset Manager to join its North American Private Equity team in Chicago. The role oversees and optimizes performance across clients' multifamily portfolios, including apartments, through asset management strategies, forecasting, leasing plans, capital budgets, value creation initiatives, risk-return analysis, financial modeling, valuations, appraisals, due diligence, dispositions, and financings. Responsibilities include managing property management teams and joint venture partners, conducting property inspections and market analysis, supporting acquisitions, presenting recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees, and leading disposition efforts. Candidates should have at least 10 years of professional real estate experience, including at least 5 years actively asset managing multifamily assets, along with experience in value-add strategies, financial analysis, budgeting, real estate valuation, investment due diligence, legal documentation, and third-party partner oversight. Advanced ARGUS and Microsoft Excel skills are required, with Power BI experience a plus. Strong communication, relationship management, leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills are also required. The position is based in Heitman's Chicago office and requires moderate to extensive travel. Candidates must hold a valid, non-expired driver's license if applying for roles requiring travel. The expected annual base salary range is $160,000 to $190,000, and the role is bonus eligible.
