Candidates should be on track for, or have achieved, a 2:1 or above at degree level or equivalent in any discipline, and demonstrate teamwork and collaboration, research and analysis, time management, organisation, strong written and oral communication, and self-reflection. Direct training contract applicants must have passed SQE1 and be available to sit SQE2 in the firm's next available cohort. The Professional SQE programme includes preparation for SQE1 and SQE2, master's-level modules, paid professional placements in two different business services teams, study leave, induction, trainee academy training, mentoring, and qualifying work experience. The role is based at the firm's London office. The first-year salary is £55,000 per annum, rising to £60,000 in the second year, with benefits including 25 days of annual holiday, health insurance, discounted gym memberships, a cycle to work scheme, and retail discounts. Reed Smith also pays full PGDL and SQE course fees and provides a £15,000 maintenance grant.
