Hope Leads Mental Health Care is recruiting a Therapist to provide psychotherapy to diverse communities across Ontario, Canada as an independent contractor. Responsibilities include supporting clients from racialized and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, conducting biopsychosocial assessments, providing individual virtual psychotherapy to adults, evaluating treatment progress, managing charts and documentation, providing system navigation support and advocacy, participating in community projects and team meetings, and providing care on a part-time or full-time basis with a minimum of 6 clinical hours per week. Applicants must be registered with OCSWSSW, CRPO, or another regulatory body authorised to provide the controlled act of psychotherapy, be in good standing, hold a master's degree in counselling, psychotherapy or social work or an equivalent combination of education and experience, carry individual professional liability insurance, and have at least 3 years of post-licensure counselling or psychotherapy experience. Knowledge of trauma, violence, addictions, racialized and gender-diverse health concerns, assessments, psychotherapy, psychosocial counselling, electronic medical records, the Ontario Mental Health Act and PHIPA is required. Additional language skills and couples therapy experience are assets.
