Provide on-site inspections of structural steel, concrete, masonry, spray fireproofing, and other structural elements. Ensure compliance with approved design documents, approved shop drawings, and building codes. Communicate with the contractor and design team to resolve nonconformance items, and manage the inspection schedule to facilitate timely construction and completion of the structural phase of work. General skills required include excellent written and verbal skills, thorough knowledge of construction codes and project requirements, and in-depth knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and mobile devices. Required certifications include AWS-CWI Certified Welding Inspector, ICC Structural Steel Welding Inspector, ICC Structural Steel High Strength Bolting Inspector, ICC Concrete Special Inspector, ICC Masonry Special Inspector, and ICC Spray Fireproofing Special Inspector. A PE licensed professional structural/civil engineer certification is required for the Director position.
