Join the multidisciplinary therapy team at Abingdon House School's Senior School campus in Marylebone, working with students aged 11 to 18. The role involves providing speech and language therapy, preparing, delivering and evaluating pupil support, therapeutic and educational programmes, assessing interventions, contributing targets to individual education plans, recording and reporting on pupil progress, and participating in appraisals and continuing professional development. You will also contribute to school life through student supervision, staff and therapy team meetings, whole-school events, cover for unavailable staff, and safeguarding support. The school is seeking an experienced and compassionate therapist who is a qualified band 6 speech and language therapist with HCPC registration, experience working with children with SEN or SpLD, IT literacy, knowledge of risk management, health and safety and child protection practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. Experience in a school setting, behaviour support strategies, care planning and complex clinical decision-making are desirable. The role is full time, five days per week for 37 weeks per year during term time only.
