The Makeup Academy NYC is seeking a Special Effects Project Lead to combine hands-on teaching with program leadership. The role includes teaching and mentoring students in Special Effects courses, overseeing scheduling, staffing and training, collaborating with the Academy Director on curriculum and course offerings, building industry relationships, and contributing to events, workshops and special projects. Applicants should have 2 or more years of professional makeup artist experience with a strong SFX portfolio, at least 2 years of full-time freelance or industry experience, and strong organizational, leadership and communication skills. Teaching, mentorship or training experience is strongly preferred.
