The Makeup Academy NYC is seeking experienced and professional makeup instructors to teach Makeup Programs and other courses. The role requires classroom management experience, patience when working with novice and experienced makeup artists, and the ability to instill confidence in students. Responsibilities include creating a positive and uplifting learning experience, collaborating as a team player, multitasking, offering solutions, and supporting continuous improvement. Applicants should have 3 or more years of makeup artist experience with an impressive portfolio, 3 years of professional full-time freelance experience, strong customer service and communication skills, time management and organizational skills, and preferably teaching experience. Instructors must complete required employment verification, state and school-based training, and obtain the required teachers license.
