The PsB team supports people undergoing substitution treatment whose substance use and often accompanying psychiatric conditions can significantly impair independent living. Duties include individual counselling and support at specialist practices, at Drogenhilfe Nord, through outreach and accompanying services, cooperation with treating doctors and other involved institutions and professionals, developing person-centred support plans, and preparing reports, statements, applications and documentation. Applicants need a completed educational degree in social work or a comparable qualification, a solution-oriented and resource-focused approach, an appreciative attitude, flexible and independent working methods, communication skills, organisational ability and an interest in teamwork. The role offers at least 30 hours per week, extendable up to 100 percent, pay comparable to TV-L Berlin S12, flexible family-friendly working hours, a responsible and varied role, autonomy, regular supervision, team and personal training, and 30 days of holiday plus paid leave on 24 and 31 December when these fall on a weekday.
