GKR Scaffolding is seeking an ambitious Senior Design Engineer with over 5 years’ experience in scaffold and access design. Based at Tower Bridge, the in-house design team works on complex and iconic London projects, with designers involved from pre-tender through to build and adaptions. Responsibilities include providing designs for complex scaffolding and temporary works projects, supporting the tender process, designing in accordance with British and European Codes of Practice, completing design risk assessments, calculations and structural analysis, checking team calculations, working with clients and operations teams, managing engineering supply chain relationships, attending industry forums, and ensuring deadlines, quality and commercial viability are maintained. Applicants should have excellent AutoCAD and Revit experience. 3D design and BIM experience is advantageous. The role requires clear communication, attention to detail, productivity, accuracy, teamwork, the ability to manage workloads under pressure, and an excellent understanding of the construction process. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Full-time, permanent contract subject to 6 months’ probation. Location: Tower Bridge Road, London.
