Reporting to the Strategy Director and working directly with business unit leads, the Estimator will be responsible for winning business for GKR. The role involves creating and preparing scaffolding tender submissions, reviewing bid frameworks, supporting pricing, measurement and the tender process, identifying value engineering opportunities, conducting commercial analysis, creating early engagement opportunities, preparing professional bid packs, generating and following up sales leads, organising site meetings and surveys, interpreting client specifications, handing projects over to operational teams, negotiating costs, forecasting project delivery costs, protecting profit margins and maintaining accurate pipelines. Candidates should have previous experience as a scaffolding estimator, excellent communication and written communication skills, strong IT skills especially with Excel, forensic attention to detail, strong numeracy, the ability to manage deadlines and pressure, and a proven track record in winning and growing business. The role is suited to a dynamic and proactive Estimator who wants to develop business development skills while working in a consultancy capacity with clients and GKR business units.
