Clegg Gifford is seeking a dynamic and experienced producing Commercial Insurance Broker for its Colchester team. The role requires a proven track record in the UK commercial retail space, with a minimum of 5 years' experience, previous Account Executive experience and expertise in placing commercial insurance programmes across Property, Liability, Motor and Financial Lines. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining commercial client relationships, placing insurance programmes, negotiating with underwriters, analysing client risks, generating new business, collaborating with internal teams and keeping up to date with industry trends, regulations and market conditions. Candidates should have excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, an understanding of the UK insurance market, the ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure, and a positive team ethic. Relevant insurance qualifications such as ACII or CII are preferred but not required.
