Senior Associates play an important role in developing client relationships and must demonstrate a superior commitment to client service. Qualifications include a sense of humor, camaraderie, curiosity, grit, and adventure; 5 or more years of substantial civil litigation experience in state and federal trial courts; strong preference for federal judicial clerkship experience and civil trial experience; outstanding academic and professional credentials, including strong references; excellent legal research and writing skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated leadership in community or bar association activities. Responsibilities include drafting and arguing motions, preparing and presenting trial testimony and argument, taking and defending depositions including of expert witnesses, briefing and arguing writs and appeals, managing discovery including complex electronic discovery, and participating in firm management while demonstrating a capacity for business development.
