Details.
The NYU Courant Center for Atmosphere Ocean Science is seeking postdoctoral researchers interested in climate and ocean physics and machine learning. The position has no teaching responsibilities and involves research on topics including ocean dynamics and climate change, air-sea interactions, predictability, stochastic parameterizations, climate phenomenon predictability, subgrid-scale parameterizations, inference from sparse data, and uncertainty quantification. Appointments are full time, initially for one year and renewable subject to satisfactory performance and funding. Candidates must complete a Ph.D. in physical, mathematical, computational science, or a related discipline by the start date.
